Dan Roeder- Founder

Mr. Roeder graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland with a major in mathematics and education. His academic record and achievement on the PSAT and SAT were recognized by the College Board when he was named as a National Merit Scholar. Mr. Roeder has taught mathematics in the Maryland Public schools, and spent over ten years developing and running innovative educational programs in the private non-profit educational sector for learners of various ages, backgrounds, and abilities.  Dan launched Select Choice Tutoring and Test Prep in 2005 to share his lifelong passion and talents as an educator with the families and youth of the Tampa Bay region.

Sharon Finkelstein- Program Specialist

Sharon graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators) with a degree in communications. She has extensive experience in hotel and restaurant management and consulting. Sharon has helped numerous businesses improve their customer service.  Sharon has been a Pinellas county resident for over 25 years and is very active in her community. She is a former PTA president, and remains active in in her daughter’s high school PTA. Sharon is the mother of two and first became acquainted with Select Choice when her son received SAT coaching, which helped him achieve a score that allowed him to attend the college of his choice, Florida State University.  The Finkelsteins have a house divided, but are somehow surviving this academic and athletic divide.
